Accommodation options for the participants are being held at the Simon Hotel and Dormitory (Simon Fraser University, Burnaby Campus) and at the Executive Plaza Hotel in Coquitlam, from May 11-16, 2008. We highly recommend the on-campus accommodations, as they will be very convenient for conference participants. Walks through the campus to and from The IRMACS Centre will provide a good opportunity to explore the university and it's beautiful surroundings. All rooms, including Dormitory Singles, are wired with high-speed internet. Rates are in Canadian dollars and include 6% GST, 8% Hotel and 2% Municipal Tax. Please note that check-in is from 3:00 until midnight. Guests arriving outside of that time interval need to contact the Guest Accommodations Office in advance to make special check-in arrangements. Check-out is 11:00 am.

Directions to the Burnaby Campus Accommodations: Once you've reached the main entrance to the University the road splits into two and travels underneath the University walkway. Directly in the middle of where the road splits there is a 24 Hour Information and Security Office. You can get directions here to the Guest Accommodations Office located in the Residences Administration Building A. There is a Residences parking lot that you can obtain a parking permit for when you check in. The permit is valid for the Residences parking lot only. The cost is $5.50 per day. There are public visitor spots in several lots on campus. Please make sure to obtain a valid ticket from one of the dispensers.

Public transit on and off Burnaby Mountain is good and buses run frequently. Schedules, SkyTrain Maps and Bus Routes are available from the Translink Website. The SFU Transit Exchange (main bus stop) is walking distance from The IRMACS Centre where the conference is taking place.
Directions to The Executive Plaza Inn Coquitlam from the Burnaby Campus: The 145 SFU/Production Way bus will take you down the hill to the Production Way University SkyTrain Station. From there you can take the train eastbound one stop to the Lougheed Town Centre Station. Exit the station and head northeast on Austin to North Rd. where you will see the hotel on the left hand side, down the hill. The hotel address is 405 North Road, Coquitlam, BC.
FYI: The average cost of a taxi ride from the Vancouver International Airport to the University is approximately $60.00.
